Seldec 4 decoders

These decoders are used to interpret the Selective Calling (Selcall) and Automatic Number Indication (ANI) signals used by VHF/UHF FM mobile radio communications networks for vehicle calling, status and identification, and are designed to work with the current CCIR/ITU standard used in Europe, New Zealand and Australia.

Two versions are currently available, one with a two line liquid crystal display and the other without. (The LCD model displays the decoded selcall  - not any translation) Both units connect to a convenient audio output of a suitable scanner or communications receiver, and send serial RS-232 data to a PC for logging and translation etc. Software is included for building and logging a database of radio system users.

Selcall+ Software for the SELDEC-4

SELCALL+ is the software for the SELDEC-4 CCIR Selcall Decoder. Click here for a sample SELCALL+ screen shot.

Features:
(Requires Win98 or better, MS Internet Explorer V4 or later to be loaded on PC, and one RS-232 comm port.)

User configurable STATUS BOARD for displaying the current status of selected radios.

Currently supports a callsign database of up to 8000 selcalls.

Database configuration is easy with any text editor.

Supports multiple selcall formats such as 5+1, 5+2, 6+5 etc.

Supports variable tone period.

Window size and position for both Status Board and Selcall Log independently configurable and saved. (This allows for multiple copies of the software / decoders to run on the same PC with individual customisation of the windows.)

Status Board 'tool tip' displays the last 10 status changes and timestamps.

Status Board current status display saved on exit and reloaded on startup (Manual reset menu option).

Option to enable/disable logging of: Last Decoded Selcall / All Selcalls / All Translated (Decoded) Selcalls.

Ability to do ACTIONS (execute a file etc) on receipt of a selcall, such as forwarding to email / playing .wav's etc (Including wildcard support).

Option for Status Board window to be 'Always On Top'.

Multiple Commport inputs from multiple Seldec-4 Decoders, so you now have the ability to decode multiple radio channels into the one copy of Selcall+. (Please note that this feature requires a new key file and upgrade fee - please inquire for details)

Ability to set log file path (eg: line in Selcall+.cfg logpath=c:\selcall+1\logs)

Menu choice to enable / disable actions

Support for multiple actions to occur from 1 selcall such as appending wavs.
(eg: in actions.dat C1491F1800C,c:\selcall\wav\avon2.wav,onpager.wav)
